Kylie Minogue has made a career out of glittery, joyful pop songs that beg to be played under a disco ball. But after 13 albums, it was time to try something new. Our Princess of Pop went searching for inspiration and found herself line dancing in Nashville, where she mined the city’s storytelling techniques and summoned her inner Dolly Parton.

Eg has written loads of great songs for other artists (Will Young’s Leave Right Now comes to mind) but in the world of SDE he is ‘best known’ for the sublime Eg and Alice album 24 Years of Hunger.
