This was a pretty hefty update at 245MB, but. Heimdall is a cross-platform open-source tool suite used to flash firmware (aka ROMs) onto Samsung mobile devices. Download official Samsung Galaxy S2 firmware. Don't wait for official Samsung Galaxy S II firmware release from Samsung KIES. Install with Odin now. Rimediare con One-Click Unbrick.
Background: • Browsing on Chrome, device suddenly freezes. Hold down power button to turn it off.
• Turn it on again. 'Galaxy S2 i9100T' logo keeps displaying nothing else happens.
Tried rebooting again, same result. • Try to do a factory reset through recovery mode.
I notice that the progress bar freezes unlike the resets I've done before. Takes a while. I get a bunch of errors in red with failed to mount on E/ and invalid arguments (this is the best I can recall). • Now when I turn it on the Galaxy S2 logo will blink in 3 second intervals. • Tried using Odin to root it and install fresh firmware (followed ).
I also used Siyah v5.0.1.tar as directed. Using latest version of Odin.
• After clicking start (auto reboot, f. Reset time and PDA checked) Odin gets up to NandWrite. A couple of minutes later I get an error message that it failed. 
• After unplugging my phone will show phone.orange '!' I can't get into recovery. When I go into Odin mode it detects a custom binary.
I'm afraid that my phone is bricked at this point and I don't want to get myself into further trouble without consulting someone who actually knows there way around these things. What are my options here? (I would prefer to keep the stuff on my sD card but if it has to be deleted as a last resort then so be it.).
[Adam Outler] has been pretty heavy into mobile device hacking lately. The biggest problem with that field is recovering from back flashes or development firmware glitches. In many cases you can use a JTAG programmer to reflash stock firmware to resurrect a handset.
Unfortunately you’ll be hard pressed to find a phone that comes with a JTAG header, and soldering to the microelectronic boards is not for the faint of heart. But a solution is here, [Adam] pulled together a wide set of resources to create. Now we’re sure that there’s more than a handful of people who would argue that a bad firmware flash that can be fixed this way means that the phone wasn’t actually “bricked” in the first place. But what we see is one more barrier torn down between being a hardware user and becoming a hardware hacker. You’re much more likely to get in there and get your hands dirty if you know that you’ll be able to undo your mistakes and reclaim you precious pocket hardware.
